Guest Rooms

Access to our Guest Rooms inside the main house is by a spiral staircase and is not  handicapped accessible.  Scents of Cedar is a non smoking B&B.

Guest Room One features a queen-sized bed. The cedar logs are adorned with Kathy’s needlework of Amish farm land. Adjacent is a bathroom that includes a cast iron tub and shower and is accompanied with specialty bath scents and lotions.

Guest Room Two features a queen-sized bed. This room is also adjacent to the bath with a cast iron tub and shower. We designate the bath as private.  We reserve Guest Room One and Guest Room Two separately and do not request our guests to share the bath. However, for family travelers, both rooms are available concurrently with the bath being shared.

Guest Room Three is located downstairs and features a queen-sized oak sleigh bed and is decorated with a theme of Labrador retrievers.  The private bath is accented with windows retrieved from an old home in Richmond. They have been restored and mirrored. The bath has both a shower and a tub. This guest room is a great place for the animal lover to snuggle up with a good book and relax. Local artist Kerry Rosier, painted a wonderful mural on the walls of this guest room. It depicts an autumn farm scene with labs frolicking in the pond, ducks trotting over the knoll and shade trees blowing in the wind. Kerry can be commissioned for other artwork. We would be delighted to refer you. Guests enjoying Guest Room Three have private access to a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. This Guest Room is also adjacent to the Game Room with a big screen TV with DVD player. The hosts welcome new challengers at the pool table.

The Loft

The Loft is adjacent to the upstairs guest rooms. It is a great setting for hosting an afternoon tea or brunch for a small group. The Loft has a wonderful tiger oak 1929 piano available for guests to use. The room is perfect for quiet reading time next to the fireplace or just relaxing after a long day’s travel. Chief Gallager, the Cigar Indian travelling from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, resides in the Loft with other furry friends collected from the host’s travels.
