Lady’s Retreat

1 Peter 4:8-10  Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

The Scents of Cedar Bed & Breakfast is first our home and second our business.  It has been built with love, faith and an abundance of grace from God.   We have been so blessed to be given the gift of hospitality and opportunities to share our testimonies.   Our ministry is to share our blessings with those that cross our path and we hope that you sense our faith and values while you are a guest in our home.

We continue our outreach to those in search of a small country venue for a Ladies Retreat.    We offer themed retreats such as What Gift Has God Given Me and What Do I Do With It Now?  We will feature author Diane Rosier Miles for a reading of her work.  Steeped in the storytelling traditions her kinfolk loved in the Appalachian Mountains, Diane Rosier Miles traveled the South and Europe as an Army brat who finally settled down long enough to study communications at Austin Peay State University, Drexel University, and the University of Pennsylvania.  Diane’s short story “Lament” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize by Ancient Paths.  Her devotionals for Christian women are found in the national best-selling “A Cup of Comfort” series from Adams Media, as well as in The Secret Place, among other publications.  Diane and her husband, Ed, make their home in suburban Philadelphia with their son, Eddie, and their dachshund, Petey.

A personalized itinerary will be prepared to accommodate relaxation and restfulness that allows for the quiet time for prayer and reflection.  There are four guest rooms available with each sleeping two. There’s plenty of floor space for sleeping bags and a couple of couches for those that want to make themselves feel right at home.   Email to express your interest in planning a Ladies Retreat for your family and friends.
